충남 논산시가 전역을 앞둔 장병들에게 새로운 출발을 응원하며 뜻깊은 행사를 마련했다.
시는 6일 논산청소년문화센터에서 ‘논산바로알기’ 행사를 개최해 120명의 전역예정 장병들을 대상으로 다양한 프로그램을 진행했다고 전했다.
이날 행사에서 장병들은 논산의 명예시민으로 위촉되었으며, 백성현 논산시장이 직접 환영사를 전하며 장병들의 미래를 응원했다. 이어서 진로와 취업에 실질적인 도움이 될 수 있는 강연과 체험 프로그램이 펼쳐져 참석자들의 큰 관심을 받았다.
특히 KDS 성진기 차장이 기업 소개를 진행하며 취업 정보를 제공했고, 이준호 논산경찰서 범죄예방과 경장이 보이스피싱 및 신종 범죄 예방 교육을 실시했다. 또한 NH농협은행 안비호 강사는 ‘알면 도움 되는 금융 이야기’를 주제로 사회 초년생들이 반드시 알아야 할 금융 지식을 전수했다.

이어 “논산은 전통적인 농업 도시에서 대한민국을 대표하는 국방군수산업 도시로 발전하고 있으며, 농식품 수출 판로를 적극적으로 개척하며 새로운 도약을 준비하고 있다”며 논산의 미래 비전을 공유했다.
행사에 참가한 한 장병은 “전역을 앞두고 진로와 취업에 실질적인 도움을 받을 수 있어 뜻깊었다. 논산에서의 추억을 바탕으로 제2의 고향처럼 애정을 갖고 지낼 것 같다”며 소감을 전했다.
