충남 서산시가 올해 농가소득 보전과 살기 좋은 농촌 조성을 위해 약 1천억 원을 투입한다고 밝혔다.
시는 '뜸부기 쌀'의 명품화를 통해 대외경쟁력을 강화할 계획이다. 기존 삼광벼에 신품종 1종을 추가로 선정하고, 소수 구매층을 겨냥한 고급화 전략을 시행한다.
또한, 직불금, 농어민수당, 농자재 지원사업을 강화하며, 쌀값 하락에 대응하기 위해 가루 쌀 재배면적을 331㏊에서 536㏊로 확대할 예정이다.
