새만금개발공사가 재생에너지 전기공급자로서 사업추진 자격을 확보했다.
18일 새만금개발공사에 따르면 지난 1월 17일 산업통상자원부로부터 전기 신사업(재생에너지 전기공급사업) 등록을 최종 승인받아 사업영역이 확장됐다.
공사는 RE100(기업이 소비하는 전력의 100%를 재생 가능 에너지로 공급받겠다는 목표를 설정한 글로벌 캠페인) 이행 수단 가운데 하나인 직접 PPA 사업을 추진할 수 있게 됐다.
특히 새만금 RE100 사업에서 역할과 영향력이 커질 것으로 기대된다.
