[브레이크뉴스=정철규 기자] 진주시는 ‘찾아가는 맞춤형 장애인복지서비스’를 더욱 강화한다고 밝혔다.
이번 서비스는 보건복지부와 장애인개발원이 공동주관한 ‘2024년 수요자 중심 장애인 지원체계 지원사업 평가’에서 최우수상을 수상한 ‘신규 발굴 바로지원서비스’를 중심으로 진행된다.
신규 발굴 바로지원서비스는 민·관 협력으로 신규 등록 장애인에게 맞춤형 복지 서비스를 제공하는 시스템이다.
이를 통해 미등록 장애인을 발굴하고, 장애인에게 필요한 복지 정보 제공, 종합 복지 상담 및 서비스 연계를 진행하여, 장애인의 특성에 맞춘 복지 사업을 벌인다.
진주시는 서비스 이용자들의 높은 만족도와 복지 사각지대 발굴 효과를 바탕으로, 올해부터 서비스 대상 인원과 범위를 확장할 예정이다.
또 시는 다양한 민간 기관과의 협력을 통해 장애인 일자리를 지원하고, 장애인 연령 및 특성에 맞춘 서비스를 제공할 계획이다.
진주시는 지난해 ‘신규 발굴 바로지원서비스’를 통해 신규 등록 장애인 62명과 발달장애 의심 영유아 및 아동청소년 13명을 발굴했다.
