최상목 대통령 권한대행 경제부총리 겸 기획재정부 장관이 7일 "최근 중요 국가기관 및 주요 인사에 대한 위협 관련해 우려가 있는 것으로 알고 있다"며 안전 관리 강화를 주문했다.
최 권한대행은 이날 오전 서울 종로구 정부서울청사에서 열린 '제20차 국가테러대책위원회' 회의에서 이같이 지시 후 "경찰청·국정원 등 관계기관은 긴장감을 갖고 그 어떤 불미스러운 사건도 발생하지 않도록 사전에 철저히 대비하여 주시기 바란다"고 했다.

또 "국내에선 국제 테러단체와 연계 등을 통한 테러위험인물 침투 가능성이 높아지고 있다"며 "주요 이슈별 갈등·대립 조장과 선전·선동에 의한 폭력적 극단주의 확산에 따른 테러 위협에 선제적 대비 필요성이 증가하고 있다"고 지적했다.
국가테러대책위는 이날 중장기 대테러 정책 계획 '제2차 국가 대테러 기본계획'을 심의한 가운데 대테러 기반 강화·선제적 테러 예방·테러 즉응태세 목표로 국내외 대테러 협업 체계 구축·강화·테러위험인물·자금 및 테러 선전·선동 차단·첨단기술 악용 신종 테러 및 화생방 테러 대응 강화 등 계획 등을 담고 있다. 국가 대테러 기본계획 개정은 지난 2016년 이후 9년 만이다.
