브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 미국과 우크라이나가 11일(현지시간) 사우디아라비아 제다에서 열린 양국 간 외교·안보 최고위급 회담을 통해 '30일 휴전안'에 합의했다. 미군이 중단한 정보 지원·군사 원조도 재개하기로 했다.
AP통신 보도에 따르면 양국은 이날 9시간에 걸치 회담 후 공동 성명을 통해 이같은 합의내용을 밝혔다.
양국은 또한 지난달 말 도널드 트럼프 미국 대통령과 볼로디미르 젤렌스키 우크라이나 대통령의 백악관 정상회담에서 불발된 광물협정도 조만간 체결하기로 했다.
양국은 이날 성명에서 "미국과 우크라이나는 우크라이나의 항구적인 평화 회복을 위한 중요한 조치를 취했다"면서 "우크라이나는 러시아가 이를 수용하고 동시에 이행하는 것을 조건으로 즉각적인 30일간의 일시 휴전을 하자는 미국의 제안을 받아들일 준비가 되어 있다"고 말했다.
트럼프 대통령은 미 워싱턴DC 백악관에서 기자들과 만난 자리에서 "푸틴 대통령과도 대화를 나눌 계획"이라며 "그(푸틴)도 휴전에 동의하길 바란다. 그러면 종전까지 75% 진전을 이룬 것으로 생각한다. 남은 일은 종전을 문서화하는 일과 영토 문제를 협상하는 일"이라고 했다.
트럼프 대통령은 아울러 미국과 러시아 대표단이 11일 또는 12일경 만날 것이라고 전하기도 했다.
타스 통신에 따르면 마리야 자하로바 러시아 외무부 대변인은 이날 "우리는 앞으로 며칠 내에 미국 대표들과 접촉하는 것을 배제하지 않는다"면서 미국이 러-우 전쟁 중재자이자 협상주도국으로서 주도적 역할을 하고 있음을 시사했다.
