거창군은 거창창포원 중앙광장 화분과 수국원 등에 봄꽃을 식재하며 본격적인 봄맞이 새 단장을 시작했다고 전했다.

중앙광장 화분에는 비올라 1,700본을, 수국원에는 팬지와 비올라 2,800여 본을 하트 패턴으로 식재해 화사한 봄 정원 경관을 연출했다.

또한 4월 초부터 튤립, 수선화, 꽃잔디 등이 개화를 앞두고 있어 화단에 묵은 낙엽과 잡초를 제거했으며, 루피너스, 크리산세멈 등 다채로운 봄꽃으로 꾸민 화단을 추가 조성해 방문객에게 더욱 풍성한 봄의 아름다움을 선사할 계획이다.
