한국원자력환경공단, 동국첨단소재와 기술자립 지원을 위한 업무협약 체결

동국첨단소재(주)는 2021년 경주에 설립된 폐기물 처리 및 재활용 기업으로, 2024년 12월부터 공단과 함께 중·저준위 방폐물 처분용기 덮개, 포장용 소프트백의 처분 전 핵종 검사와 형상유지 구조체, 전도 방지를 위한 적층 팔레트 등 방사성 폐기물 관련 기술 특허에 대한 무상 사용 계약을 체결했다.

이번 협약을 통해 공단은 동국첨단소재에 자립적인 기술 개발을 위한 컨설팅 지원과 공단 보유 특허권 사용에 대한 지원 등을 협력하기로 했다.

조성돈 한국원자력환경공단 이사장은 "방폐물 관리사업 관련 중소기업의 발전 방안을 적극 발굴하고, 지역경제 발전에 기여하도록 노력하겠다"고 말했다.
