세종시교육청 학교지원본부가 세종시 내 초등학생을 대상으로 ‘2025학년도 초등생존수영교육’을 실시한다고 밝혔다.
이 교육은 초등학교 2학년부터 6학년까지의 학생들이 물에 대한 두려움을 극복하고, 수중 위기 상황에서의 대처 능력과 생존 방법을 익히기 위한 필수 과정이다.
초등생존수영교육은 이론 교육과 실기 교육을 병행하여 진행되며, 올해는 3학년과 4학년 학생들이 10차시의 실기 교육을 받게 된다.
2학년, 5학년, 6학년은 각 4차시의 이론 교육을 통해 수영에 대한 기초 지식을 쌓을 예정이다.
교육은 세종국민체육센터를 포함한 13개 장소에서 진행되며, 1학기에는 3996명, 2학기에는 2654명이 실기 교육에 참여할 계획이다.
