브레이크뉴스 최애리 기자= 교촌치킨을 운영하는 교촌에프앤비는 최근 영남권 산불 피해 지역 복구 지원을 위해 1억원의 치킨과 지원금을 기부한다고 24일 밝혔다.
교촌은 경상북도 의성군과 경상남도 산청군, 울산광역시 울주군 등 대형 산불 피해를 입은 지역에 대해 주민들과 지역사회의 신속한 복구 지원에 일조하고자 치킨교환권과 지원금 등 총 1억원을 대한적십자사를 통해 지원한다고 전했다.
지원금은 산불 피해 지역의 긴급 구호와 복구는 물론 이재민들의 생필품 제공 등에 사용될 예정이다. 또 피해복구를 위해 구슬땀을 흘리고 있는 소방관과 군인, 경찰을 비롯한 민간 자원봉사자들에게도 치킨을 제공해 응원과 격려에 나선다.
권원강 교촌그룹 회장은 “화마로 피해를 입은 지역 주민들을 위로하고 빠르게 일상생활로 돌아올 수 있도록 지역사회의 피해복구에 일조하기 위해 여러 노력을 기울이겠다”고 밝혔다.
