시는 올 한해 약 7억7300만원을 투입해 엔진교체 42대와 전동화개조 2대, 총 44대의 노후 건설기계를 지원할 계획이다.
이번 지원 대상은 진주시에 등록된 지난 2004년 이전 배출가스 규제기준을 적용받은 엔진을 탑재한 건설기계이며 대당 934만원~2135만원을 지원한다.
또 전동화개조 지원사업은 노후 경유 지게차를 리튬 이온·인산철 배터리를 탑재한 전기 지게차로 개조하는 사업이며 대당 3125만원~3794만원을 지원한다.
이번 사업의 신청기간은 25일부터 오는 4월 11일까지이며, 지원 사업 희망 대상자는 진주시청 기후대기과를 방문하면 된다.
진주시 관계자는 “건설기계는 정부 지원을 통해 배출가스 저감장치를 부착하거나 저공해 엔진으로 개조한 사실이 없고, 선정 조회일 기준 지방세 등 체납이 없어야 한다”고 말했다.
