브레이크뉴스 정민우 기자= 한국마사회가 2025년도 더러브렛 조교사·기수 신규 면허시험을 오는 4월부터 실시한다.
이번 면허시험은 더러브렛 조교사 7명 이내, 기수 8명 이내 규모로 시행괸다. 원서접수를 시작으로, △학과시험 △실기시험 △면접시험 순으로 진행된다.
조교사는 경주마를 훈련시키고 마필의 경주능력을 향상시킬 수 있도록 사육‧관리하는 직업이다. 만 27세 이상 62세 미만으로 ‘조교사 면허 교육과정’을 이수한 사람에 한해, 한국마사회가 제시하는 기수기승경력·마필관리경력 등 요건을 갖춘 경우에만 조교사 시험에 응시할 수 있다.
기수는 경주마를 타고 경주에 출전하는 선수라고 할 수 있다. 만 15세 이상 59세 미만으로, 말산업 전문인력 양성기관 졸업 여부와 주로기승경력 등 자격요건을 충족한 경우 응시할 수 있다. 신체 조건만 유지되면 60세까지도 종사할 수 있고, 향후 조교사로 전직도 가능해 여타 스포츠 선수들에 비해 안정성이 높은 편이다.
조교사와 기수가 되기 위해서는 경마법규, 경마상식, 마학(말복지 포함), 마술학 지식이 필요하며 학과시험 전형에서 해당 과목을 평가한다. 조교사의 경우 인사노무 과목이 추가된다.
