당진시(시장 오성환)는 2025년 일자리 대책 세부 계획을 수립하고, 이를 당진시 및 당진시일자리종합지원센터 누리집과 고용노동부 지역고용정보 네트워크에 공시했다고 1일 밝혔다.
이번 계획은 ‘고용노동부 지역 일자리 목표 공시제’에 따라 올해 9,932개의 일자리 창출과 고용률(15세~64세) 74.2% 달성을 목표로 하고 있다.
당진시는 4개 핵심 전략을 기반으로 일자리 문제 해결을 위한 세부 사업 계획을 마련했다. 이번 지역일자리 목표 공시제는 지자체의 일자리 문제에 대한 관심을 높이고, 일자리 친화적인 지방행정을 유도하기 위한 지역고용 활성화 정책으로, 자치단체장의 임기 중 2025년도 일자리 달성 목표와 추진계획을 담고 있다.
주요 전략으로는 민간주도형, 지역특화형, 대상별 맞춤형, 상생형 일자리가 제시되었다. 이를 통해 ▲기업 연계를 통한 지역인재 고용 할당제 추진 ▲해양관광 자원을 통한 일자리 창출 ▲당진여성새로일하기 센터 운영 ▲공공부문 일자리 확대로 고용 촉진 등 13개 세부 사업을 추진할 계획이다.
특히, 당진시는 지난해 어려운 경기 여건 속에서도 6조 9,620억 원의 대규모 투자를 유치하여 역대 최고 고용률인 71.3%를 기록했다. 이로 인해 전국 77개 시 단위 중 고용률 2위를 차지하는 성과를 거두었다.
오성환 당진시장은 “투자유치 확대와 일자리 창출을 통해 지역의 고용률을 높이고 인구 증가의 선순환 목표를 달성할 수 있도록 노력하겠다”고 전했다.
