부천시, ‘세계가 사랑한 K-문학작가들’ 전시회 개최

(브레이크뉴스인천 문광수 기자) 부천시가 오는 4월 17일까지 상동도서관 1층 문학 커뮤니티 공간에서‘세계가 사랑한 K-문학작가들 도서전시회’를 개최한다고 밝혔다.

부천시에 따르면, 이번 전시회는 국제문학상 수상 작가들의 도서 24권을 상설 전시하며, 한국 문학의 세계적 위상과 가치를 시민과 함께 나누기 위해 마련됐다. 

도서관을 방문하는 시민들은 국제적 평가를 받은 우수 문학작품을 직접 접하며, 한국 작가들의 세계적 성과를 자연스럽게 이해하고 공감할 수 있는 기회를 얻게 된다.

또한, 국제 문학상을 수상한 한국 작가 21명의 대표작을 한자리에서 만날 수 있으며, 작가별 주요 약력과 작품 설명을 영상으로 함께 소개해 도서관 이용자가 자유롭게 작품을 감상하고 공감할 수 있도록 구성했다.

주요 전시작으로는 소설 △‘채식주의자’로 2024년 노벨문학상을 수상한 한강 작가 △시집 ‘날개 환상통’으로 한국 최초 미국 전미도서비평가협회상(NBCC 어워즈) 시 부문을 수상한 김혜순 시인 △‘살인자의 기억법’으로 2020년 독일 추리문학상 국제부문을 수상한 김영하 소설가 △만화 ‘풀’로 같은 해 미국 하비상 최고 국제도서 부문을 수상한 김금숙 만화가의 작품 20권이 포함됐다.  

또한 디아스포라를 주제로 한 장편소설 가운데 한국어나 영어로 출판된 현존 작가의 작품을 선정해 수여하는 ‘부천디아스포라문학상’ 수상작 4권도 함께 전시한다.

전시작에는 △제1회 수상작 ‘자유로운 삶’의 하진 작가를 비롯해 △제2회 수상작 ‘파친코’의 이민진 작가 △제3회 수상작 ‘동조자’의 비엣 타잇 응우옌 작가 △제4회 수상작 ‘인간들의 가장 은밀한 기억’의 모하메드 음부가르 사르 작가의 작품이 포함돼 있다.

Bucheon City announced that it will hold the ‘K-Literature Writers Loved by the World’ book exhibition in the literature community space on the first floor of Sangdong Library until April 17.

According to Bucheon City, this exhibition will permanently exhibit 24 books by international literature award winners and was prepared to share the global status and value of Korean literature with citizens.

Citizens visiting the library will have the opportunity to directly encounter excellent literary works that have received international recognition and naturally understand and empathize with the global achievements of Korean authors.

In addition, you can see the representative works of 21 Korean writers who won international literary awards in one place, and the main biographies and descriptions of each writer are introduced in a video so that library users can freely appreciate and sympathize with the works.

The main exhibition works include 20 works by author Han Kang, who won the 2024 Nobel Prize in Literature for her novel “The Vegetarian”; poet Kim Hye-soon, who became the first Korean to win the National Book Critics Circle Award (NBCC) in the poetry category for her poetry collection “Wings Fantasy Tong”; novelist Kim Young-ha, who won the 2020 German Mystery Literature Award in the international category for “Memoir of a Murderer”; and cartoonist Kim Geum-sook, who won the Harvey Award for Best International Book in the U.S. in the same year for her cartoon “Grass”.

In addition, four winners of the “Bucheon Diaspora Literature Award”, which selects and awards works by living writers published in Korean or English among full-length novels on the theme of diaspora, will also be exhibited.

The exhibition includes works by the following artists: △Hin Jin, the first winner of the award, whose work is titled “Free Life,” △Lee Min Jin, the second winner of the award, whose work is titled “Pachinko,” △Viet Thai Nguyen, the third winner of the award, whose work is titled “The Sympathizer,” and △Mohamed Mboughar Sar, the fourth winner of the award, whose work is titled “The Most Secret Memories of Humans.”
