[브레이크뉴스=정철규 기자] 진주시는 여름 집중호우 및 태풍으로 인한 인명 피해를 예방하기 위해 지난 4 일부터 8일까지 인명피해 우려 지역에 대한 일제 조사를 실시한다고 7일 밝혔다.
이번 조사는 산사태 위험 지역, 급경사지, 저지대 침수 우려 지역, 하천변 거주 지역 등 재해 취약 지역을 대상으로 진행한다.
시는 현장조사를 통해 해당 지역의 위험도를 평가하고 인명 피해 우려 지역으로 지정해 여름철 자연재난 대책기간인 오는 5월 15일~10월 15일까지 집중관리에 들어간다.
시는 지정된 지역에 대해서는 유형별 주민 대피 계획을 수립해 신속한 대피가 이루어질 수 있도록 할 최선을 다 한다는 방침이다.
특히 시는 주민들에게 기상특보 및 재난 문자 등을 활용한 신속한 정보 제공과 함께 행동 요령을 안내해 안전의식을 높일 예정이다.
진주시 관계자는 “여름철 자연재해 예방을 위해 철저한 대비를 하겠다”며 “시민들도 안전 수칙 준수를 철자히 해줄 것”을 당부했다.
