[브레이크뉴스=양영석 기자] 김해시는 봄철 반려동물 동반 나들이객 증가에 반려동물 공공예절 미준수로 인한 갈등을 예방하고자 집중 점검을 실시한다고 11일 밝혔다.

점검은 오는 16일 연지공원 일원 등 민원이 자주 발생하는 야외 공공시설을 중심으로 실시된다.

시는 등록 대상 동물의 소유자에 대해 반려동물 등록 여부와 함께 산책 시 필수적인 안전조치(목줄 착용, 배변 수거 등) 이행 여부를 살핀다. 

점검 결과 미등록 상태의 반려동물이나 안전조치를 지키지 않은 경우 동물보호법에 따라 과태료가 부과된다. 

시는 점검뿐만 아니라 유기동물 입양 홍보와 동물 등록의 중요성을 알리는 홍보를 병행한다. 

황희철 시 농업기술센터 소장은 “반려동물 등록과 안전조치는 시민의 안전과 반려동물의 복지를 위한 기본적인 약속”이라며 “모두가 안심하고 이용할 수 있는 야외 공공시설 환경 조성에 노력하겠다”고 말했다.

시는 이번 연지공원 일대 집중 단속을 시작으로 5월에는 대성동 고분군 일대, 6월에는 율하유적공원 일대에서 동물보호법 준수를 위한 지속적인 활동을 이어갈 방침이다.

The city plans to continue its efforts to enforce compliance with the Animal Protection Act, starting with the concentrated crackdown in the Yeonji Park area this month, in the Daeseong-dong Ancient Tombs area in May, and in the Yulha Historic Park area in June.
