태안국제원예치유박람회의 개막이 1년 앞으로 다가오면서 태안군이 박람회 운영을 위한 준비에 총력을 기울이고 있다.
군은 지난 10일 군청 중회의실에서 이주영 부군수를 비롯해 30여 명이 참석한 가운데 ‘2025년 1분기 원예치유박람회 추진상황 보고회’를 열었다. 이번 보고회에서는 박람회 홍보영상 시청과 함께 부서별 추진현황을 점검하고 질의응답 및 토론이 진행됐다.
군은 박람회와 관련된 총 136억 원의 예산을 투입할 계획으로, 가로화단, 상징관문 설치, 임시주차장 건립 등 26개 사업에 86억 원의 예산을 확보해 추진 중이다.
나머지 사업들은 하반기 추경 및 내년도 본예산을 통해 진행할 예정이다. 또한, 민관 협력체계를 구축하여 교통 및 주차 분야의 민간 지원을 유도하기 위해 ‘범군민지원협의회’를 상반기 중에 구성할 방침이다.
군 관계자는 “박람회 준비 과정을 체계적으로 점검하고 협력 기반을 다지겠다”며 “관람객에게 최고의 경험을 제공할 수 있도록 준비에 만전을 기할 것”이라고 강조했다.
‘2026 태안국제원예치유박람회’는 내년 4월 25일부터 5월 24일까지 개최되며, 40개국 182만 명의 관람객 방문이 예상되어 지역경제 활성화에 큰 도움이 될 것으로 기대된다.
