이번 전시회는 4월 9일부터 13일까지(현지시간) 스위스 제네바에서 열렸으며, 국제발명품전시조직위원회가 주최하고, 스위스 연방정부, 제네바 주정부 및 시의회, 세계지식재산기구(WIPO) 등이 후원하는 세계 최대 규모의 발명품 박람회 중 하나다.
올해 행사는 42개국 1,050여 점의 발명품이 출품된 가운데, 각국 심사위원들은 혁신성, 시장성, 기능성, 실용성 등 다양한 평가 항목을 기준으로 탁월한 아이디어와 기술력을 선보인 개인 및 단체에 상을 수여했다.
한수원이 은상을 수상한 ‘SSNC(i-SMR Smart Net-zero City) 통합관제센터 프로그램’은 도시 전력의 수요와 공급을 실시간으로 최적화할 수 있는 에너지 통합관리 솔루션으로, 스마트 에너지 시스템의 안전성과 효율성을 높인 친환경 기술로 주목받았다.
또한 동상 수상작인 ‘경수로 사용후핵연료 건식저장모듈’과 ‘다중 참여형 APR1400 가상현실(VR) 구현 장치’는 각각 경제성과 혁신성 부문에서 높은 평가를 받으며, 한수원의 원전 기술 역량을 세계적으로 인정받는 데 기여했다.
이외에도 한수원은 다수의 특별상을 추가로 수상하며, 총 9개의 상을 휩쓸었다.
