브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 홍준표 국민의힘 대선 경선 후보는 21일 한덕수 대통령 권한대행 출마설과 관련 "빨리 (권한대행) 그만두고 입당했으면 좋겠다"고 밝혔다.
홍준표 후보는 이날 서울 여의도 대하빌딩 대선캠프에서 기자들과 만난 자리에서 "대선 때는 지겟작대기도 필요하다. 누구라도 필요하기 때문에 반대할 생각은 추호도 없다"며 이같이 말했다.
그는 전날 한동훈 후보를 향해 '키높이 구두' 지적 발언을 한데 대해 "처음 정치에 들어오는 분들이 이미지 정치에만 몰두하면 오래가지 못한다"면서 "대선배 입장으로 '너 이미지 정치하지 마라' 하면 모욕감 들 것 같아서 돌려 얘기한 것"이라고 했다.
이어 "이미지 정치에 성공한 사람은 한 사람뿐이다. 오세훈 서울시장"이라며 "오 시장은 처음 등장할 때는 이미지 정치로 등장했지만 그 이후로 속이 꽉 차 있다는 게 드러났다"고 말했다.
홍 후보는 아울러 국회의 세종 이전과 관련해선 "하원은 정부 부처와 밀접한 관계가 있으니까 세종시로 가는 게 옳겠다"며 "그러나 상원은 국가 전체 문제를 관장하니까 서울에 있는 게 좋겠다"고 답했다.
