의왕시, ‘제18회 장애인의 날’ 기념식 개최

의왕시가 지난 4월 18일 의왕 국민체육센터에서 관내 장애인과 가족, 내빈 등 1,000여 명이 참석한 가운데 ‘제18회 의왕시 장애인의 날 기념행사’를 개최했다.

4월 20일 장애인의 날을 맞아 희망나래장애인복지관이 주관한 이번 행사는 장애인과 비장애인이 함께 소통하는 화합의 장을 통해 더불어 살아가는 사회 분위기를 조성하기 위해 추진됐다.

이날 행사는 ‘행복을 바라봄, 일상을 담아봄, 희망을 이어봄’이라는 슬로건 아래 식전 축하공연으로 △미라클보이즈 팝페라 공연, △쉬즈 전자현악 공연이 열렸다. 이어 본 행사에서는 한국농아인협회 의왕시지회 김지광, 류지선씨의 장애인 인권헌장 낭독, 유공자 표창, 축사 등이 진행됐다.

이날 으뜸장애인상 시상식에서는 ‘모범장애인 부문’에 김영민씨가, ‘장애인봉사 부문’에 이영규씨가 표창패를 받았다. 장애인복지유공자 시상에서는 △김기준(장애인복지회장) △안효남(희망나래장애인복지관 작업치료사) △박민수(장애아재활치료교육센터 인지치료사) △곽수연(뇌병변장애인주간보호센터 사회복지사) △정의웅(의왕시청 오전동주민센터 주무관) △이서준(녹향원 사회복지사) △고우리(장애인자립생활센터 사회복지사) △신종욱(한국척수장애인협회 의왕시지회)씨가 장애인복지 증진에 기여한 공로를 인정받아 수상의 영광을 안았다.

김성제 의왕시장은 축사에서 “오늘 이 자리가 단순한 기념을 넘어, 더욱 깊은 이해와 협력을 만들어 갈 수 있는 뜻깊은 시간이 되길 바란다”며, “앞으로도 장애인들이 자신의 꿈을 마음껏 펼칠 수 있는 차별 없는 사회를 만들기 위해 의왕시가 동행하겠다”고 말했다.

Uiwang City held the ‘18th Uiwang City Disabled Persons’ Day Commemoration Ceremony’ on April 18 at the Uiwang National Sports Center with approximately 1,000 people in attendance, including disabled people, their families, and guests.

This event, hosted by the Hope Narae Disabled Welfare Center on April 20 to mark Disabled Persons’ Day, was promoted to create a social atmosphere where disabled and non-disabled people can live together through a place of harmony where they can communicate.
