[Break News Yangju = Reporter Kim Wan-young] The 65th anniversary of the April 19 Revolution, the 'Memorial to the Martyrs' event was held at the National April 19th Democratic Cemetery Justice Flame Square (located in Gangbuk-gu, Seoul) on the 19th at 4:30 PM despite the rain.
The 27th Sogwiul Music Concert, held in the rain, was held with the schedule of the event partially reduced by the Seoul Gangbuk-gu Cultural Center in honor of the April 19th Democratic Martyrs.
The song that received the most enthusiastic applause from the audience that day was 'Arirang' sung passionately by the mixed male and female choir of Yangju-si, Gyeonggi-do (leader Kim Myeong-geun, conductor Kim Soo-mi, soprano). The event organizers reported that "In addition, we prepared the song 'Even if Life Deceives You' but it was omitted due to rain."
The director of the Yangju-si-based Two One Choir, Kim Myeong-geun (special professor at Seojeong University), said, "We are happy that we were able to perform at the April 19 Revolution Memorial Concert, a national event, even in a poor environment where the members are operating on their own membership fees. We will continue to work hard and promote the cultural city of Yangju-si by performing more concerts."
Meanwhile, the Two One Choir said, "We have been practicing every Tuesday at 7:30 PM on the 4th floor of the Yangju-si Hoecheon 2-dong Community Center. Anyone who loves music can join the choir."
