세종시교육청이 AI시대 인재 육성을 위해 '세종이도프로젝트'를 추진하기로 했다.
이를 위해 체험-탐구 -연구로 이어지는 학습체계가 구축된다.
'세종이도'는 세종대왕의 이름인 ‘세종 이도’와 ‘세종 이공계의 '이' 인재 도약의 '도' 앞글자를 땄다.
최교진 교육감은 23일 시교육청에서 이 같은 내용을 담은 '세종이도프로젝트' 추진 계획을 발표했다.
최 교육감은 "초․중․고 를 거치면서 학습 경험이 연결되고 심화될 수 있도록 초등학교는 ‘체험’, 중학교는 ‘탐구’, 고등학교는 대학과 연구기관이 동행하는 ‘심화탐구’의 학습체계를 구축하겠다"고 밝혔다.
초등학생의 창의융합 체험 활성화를 위해 수학체험센터, 소프트웨어체험센터, 융합교육센터, 발명체험센터 등 4개 체험센터로 프로그램을 세분화했다.
특히 고학년 프로그램은 중학교 탐구학습과 연계될 수 있도록 설계됐다.
최 교육감은 "체험센터 교육 외에도 학교로 찾아가는 체험, 교실 수업을 위한 교구와 기자재 대여 등을 통해 보다 많은 학생들이 참여할 수 있도록 하겠다"고 말했다.
중학생 탐구학습을 위해 주제별 탐구 동아리, 융합동아리, 등과 같은 동아리 중심 활동을 통해 학생의 흥미와 관심이 지속되고 심화될 수 있도록 했다.
고등학생 심화탐구(연구)를 위해 30개 전문기관과 매칭을 통해 꿈 키움 기회가 제공된다.
과학․수학․정보 분야 이도리더학생들이 전문분야 연구 경험의 폭을 넓힐 수 있도록 글로벌 탐방 프로그램도 병행된다.
최 교육감은 "'세종이도프로젝트' 실행 기반 구축을 위해 교육국장을 추진단장으로 하는 추진단을 가동하고, 교수, 교사 등 전문가 10명으로 자문단을 꾸려 협력기관으로 구성하겠다"고 말했다.
수업과 동아리 활동 거점 마련을 위해 AI교육을 위한 미래형 AI정보교육실을 우선 구축하기로 했다.
최 교육감은 "올해 안으로 전체 중학교에 AI정보교육실을 2027년까지 모든 초등학교와 고등학교에 마무리 해 창의적이고 유연한 AI·SW교육이 가능하도록 하겠다"고 말했다.
첨단 기자재를 갖춘 지능형 과학실도 올해 안으로 전체 학교에 설치해 첨단 과학기술을 접목한 탐구·실험 중심의 과학수업 운영이 가능하도록 하겠다"고 말했다.
"올해 17개 고등학교에 전문연구와 진로진학 지원을 위한 심화탐구형 첨단과학실을 구축해 물리학, 화학, 생명 과학, 지구과학, 공학에 특화된 맞춤형 환경을 제공하겠다"고 했다.
최 교육감은 " AI 전문역량을 갖춘 교원 양성을 위해 AI융합교육 전공 교육대학원 석사과정을 지원하고 과학·수학·정보 교과목 관련 연수를 개설해 교과전문성을 신장하겠다"고 강조했다.
