박범인 금산군수는 28일 금산군청 브리핑룸에서 기자회견을 열고, 금산인삼의 글로벌 시장 확대를 위한 미국 뉴욕 방문 성과를 공식 발표했다.
이번 일정에서 박 군수는 뉴욕시에 새롭게 문을 연 금산인삼 물류센터 오픈식에 참석해 금산인삼의 우수성을 널리 알렸으며, 미국 내 유통업체인 리버티그룹과 금산 지역 3개 기업 간 다자간 수출협약(MOU)을 체결했다.
리버티그룹은 현재 1,800여 개 미국 대형마트 및 아마존 등 온라인 채널을 통해 다양한 제품을 유통하고 있으며, 이를 통해 지금까지 금산 소재 16개 기업이 46억 원 이상의 수출 실적을 달성하는 성과를 거두었다. 이번 협약을 통해 군은 해외 마케팅을 지속 지원하는 한편, 미국 소비자 맞춤형 제품 개발 및 개선을 위한 행정·재정적 지원도 적극 추진할 계획이다.
