브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 호준석 국민의힘 대변인은 30일 "민주당이 세계 민주주의와 언론 역사에 수치로 남을 'YTN 청문회'를 기어이 오늘 강행한다. 민주주의 국가에서 국회가 민간 언론사의 대주주와 경영진을 불러 협박하는 것은 상상조차 어려운 일"이라고 비판했다.

또한 그는 "대통령 선거를 앞두고 특정 보도채널을 상대로 청문회를 여는 것은 전례 없는 언론 탄압이자 민주주의에 대한 심각한 도전이다. 민주당은 이미 카카오톡 검열 논란, '민주파출소' 설치, '여론조사 검증 특위' 설치 등과 함께 반민주적인 행태를 적나라하게 보여주고 있다"면서 "그런 정당이 민주주의를 입에 올리고, 통합을 말한다는 것이 기가 막힐 뿐"이라고 꼬집었다.
