(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 인천시교육청이 19일, 강화교육발전특구 사업의 일환으로 강화 지역 중·고등학생을 대상으로 ‘대학으로 찾아가는 해양스마트팜 캠프’를 운영한다고 밝혔다.
인천시교육청에 따르면, 이 캠프는 5월부터 12월까지 겐트대학교 글로벌캠퍼스에서 진행되며, 해양 생물자원과 첨단 과학기술이 융합된 교육을 통한 미래 인재 양성을 목표로 한다.
학생들은 해조류와 미세조류를 활용한 해조류 및 미세조류 배양 실험, 스마트 센서를 활용한 자동제어 시스템 실습, 데이터 기반 환경 모니터링 프로젝트 등에 참여하며, 해양 생태계의 탄소 흡수 기능인 ‘블루카본’ 개념과 해양 기반 탄소 저감 기술을 학습하게 된다.
