(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 인천시교육청이 20일 육군인사사령부와 군 관련 진로 탐색 기회 제공 및 육군 인력 확보를 위한 업무협약을 체결했다고 밝혔다.
인천시교육청에 따르면,이번 협약은 군특성화고와 부사관학과 운영학교와의 협력을 통해 우수한 군 전문 인재를 양성하고, 학생들의 진로 선택 폭을 넓히기 위해 마련됐다.
특히, 전국 시도교육청 중 최초로 육군인사사령부와 공식 협약을 체결했다는 점에서 의미가 크다.
협약에 따라 양 기관은 군특성화고 및 부사관 학과·동아리 운영 고교 대상 군 간부 직업 소개 및 모집 홍보, 군 관련 진로 교육 홍보, 학교별 육군 간부 모집설명회 지원 등에 협력하게 된다.
도성훈 교육감은 “군 복무가 단순한 의무를 넘어 전문성과 리더십을 기를 수 있는 성장의 기회가 되도록, 교육과 군이 함께 진로의 문을 열어야 한다”며 “이번 협약은 학생들이 군에서 역량을 발휘하고, 안정적인 사회 진출까지 이어질 수 있도록 함께 책임지는 약속”이라고 말했다.
한편, 현재 인천에는 육군 관련 2개교, 해군 1개교, 해병대 1개교의 군특성화고와 부사관학과 1개교가 운영되고 있다.
