[브레이크뉴스=양영석 기자] 김해시는 경남도와 경남사회복지공동모금회 주최로 23일 호텔인터네셔널 창원에서 열린 ‘희망 2025 이웃사랑 유공자 포상식’서 최우수 시로 선정됐다고 밝혔다.
경남도와 경남사회복지공동모금회는 2024년 한 해 동안 지역사회 나눔활동 기여도를 평가해 시상했으며 건강한 기부문화 활성화를 위해 매년 이웃사랑 유공자를 선정해 포상하고 있다.
이번 평가는 도내 18개 시군의 연간 1인당 모금액, 최근 3년간 평균 모금액 대비 증가율, 현금과 일반 모금 비율, 개인 정기 기부자 수 증가율을 항목으로 이뤄져 최우수 시로 김해시가 선정됐다.
김해시는 지난 12월부터 올해 1월까지 진행된 2024년 나눔 캠페인 기간 총 6억4800만원을 모금해 경남지역 사랑의 온도탑 104.5도를 달성하는 데 기여했다.
이외 김해지역 수상 현황을 보면 김해시 복지정책과 임현정 주무관과 한국지역난방공사 김해사업소가 경남도지사 표창을, 김해 안동에 위치한 한국가스공사 부산경남지역본부와 김진아, 홍현숙씨가 경남사회복지공동모금회장상을 각각 수상했다.
특히 한국지역난방공사 김해사업소는 2018년 7월 지역사회 공헌사업의 일환으로 김해시 노인일자리 창출을 위한 업무협약을 체결한 이후 그간 1억 7000만원을 지원해 노인일자리 확대와 신규 사업 개발을 지원한 공로를 인정받았다.
박종주 복지국장은 “소외된 이웃을 위해 따뜻한 나눔을 실천해주고 계신 분들께 존경과 감사의 마음을 전한다”며 “희망의 손길이 이어질 수 있도록 지속적인 관심을 부탁드린다”고 말했다.
