세종시가 농업 활용도가 낮은 소규모 농업진흥지역 30.48헥타르(㏊)를 해제하며 토지 이용 유연성 확대에 나섰다.
세종시는 23일, 도로 개설이나 하천 정비 등 주변 여건 변화로 인해 농지 집단화에서 이탈된 3㏊ 이하의 소규모 농업진흥지역 26개 구역에 대해 농업진흥지역 지정 해제를 고시했다고 밝혔다.
이번에 해제된 구역은 농업진흥구역 22.99㏊ ,농업보호구역 7.49㏊로, 모두 농림축산식품부의 승인을 거쳐 공식적으로 농업진흥지역에서 제외됐다.
세종시는 해제에 앞서 주민 의견을 수렴하고, 농업·농촌 및 식품산업 정책심의회 등의 절차를 거쳐 타당성을 검토했다. 이는 단순한 행정 조치에 그치지 않고, 지역 실정과 시민 불편 해소에 중점을 둔 조치로 평가된다.
