민선 8기 공약사업은 ‘아이 키우기 좋은 도시’, ‘가족이 모두 건강한 도시’ 등 10개 분야, 총 142개 사업으로 구성되어 있으며, 현재까지 100개 사업이 완료돼 이행률 70.4%를 기록하고 있다.
이번 현장 점검은 완료된 사업 중 시민 생활과 밀접한 주요 사업장을 중심으로 실시되었으며, 단순한 완료 여부를 넘어 실제 활용성과 만족도를 확인하고, 시민 입장에서의 보완사항을 발굴하기 위해 추진됐다.

지난 19일에는 갈매동에 위치한 7개 공약사업 현장을 방문해 시설 운영 상황과 현장의 목소리를 청취했다. 점검 대상은 ▲초등학교 주변 버스베이 설치 ▲버스정류장 친환경 쉘터 설치 및 확대 ▲권역별 시민건강증진센터 설치 및 운영 ▲온가족 스마트 헬스케어 시스템 구축 ▲노인전용 헬스케어 프로그램 운영 ▲갈매 공공체육시설 건립공사 조기 완공 ▲갈매 평생학습센터 신설 등이다.
