브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 김재원 국민의힘 김문수 대선 후보 비서실장은 28일 "이준석 개혁신당 후보가 단일화를 거부해도 이길 수 있다는 확신을 갖고 있다"고 밝혔다.
김 비서실장은 이날 SBS 라디오 '김태현의 정치쇼'에서 "오늘 아침 발표된 '여론조사 공정(26~27일 조사)'의 결과를 보면 단일화할 경우 이재명 더불어민주당 후보 44.1%, 김 후보 46.7%로 김 후보가 승리한다는 여론조사 결과가 발표됐다"며 이같이 말했다.
그는 "물론 이 여론조사에서는 3자 구도에서도 이재명 후보와 김문수 후보의 득표율차가 0.9%포인트 정도이기 때문에, 사실상 저희는 3자 구도라도 충분히 이길 수 있다고 자신하고 있다"면서 "그러나 확실하게 승리하는 길은 단일화다. 저희는 (단일화를 위해) 최선을 다할 것"이라고 했다.
이어 "내일 투표할 때는 (이재명 후보를) 역전할 것이고, 계속 역전해서 본투표할 때는 적어도 5% 이상의 확실한 우위에 있을 것이라 예상한다"고 주장했다.
그는 이준석 후보가 단일화를 거듭 거부한데 대해선 "정치권에서는 '절대'라는 말 자체가 성립되지 않는다. 충분히 단일화의 가능성은 남아 있다"고 말했다.
특히 "김문수 후보는 대통령 후보직을 제외하고는 모든 것을 이준석 후보에게 내주겠다는 각오다. 그래서 이준석 후보에게 선택할 여지는 충분히 있다"고 강조했다.
그러면서 "지금 상황은 김문수를 찍으면 김문수가 대통령이 된다. 이준석 후보를 찍으면 이재명이 대통령 되는 데 도와주는 것"이라고 덧붙였다.
