(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 인천시가 28일, 공직선거법에 따라 일시 중단됐던 ‘생생시정 현장견학’ 프로그램을 오는 6월4 일부터 본격적으로 재개한다고 밝혔다.
인천시에 따르면, 이 프로그램은 올해 3월부터 운영을 시작했으나, 선거 전 60일 법정 제한 기간에 따라 잠시 멈췄다가 다시 운영을 시작하게 됐으며, 더욱 다양해진 견학 콘텐츠로 시민들을 맞이할 예정이다.
‘생생시정 현장견학’은 2012년 조례 제정 이후 약 4만 7천여 명의 시민들이 참여해 온 인천시 대표 체험 프로그램으로, 주요 시정 사업 현장과 문화·환경 관련 시설 등을 방문해 시정에 대한 이해를 높이기 위해 시작됐다.
올해는 기존의 5개 권역, 40개 견학대상지를 47개로 확대하고, 연평도 현장 견학 프로그램을 운영해 시민들에게 더욱 폭넓은 체험 기회를 제공한다.
특히, 도서지역에 대한 시민들의 높은 관심을 반영해 강화권역에는 화개정원, 교동대룡리시장, 전등사 등 3개 견학지를 새롭게 추가했다.
옹진권역에서는 ‘인천 아이(i) 바다패스’와 연계해 연평도를 방문하는 ‘생생시정 보물섬 현장견학’을 연 10회 시범 운영한다.
연평도 프로그램은 현장 견학의 무대를 육지에서 바다로 확장한 것으로, 서해 최전방 북방한계선(NLL) 인근의 안보 현장을 직접 체험할 수 있다.
참가자들은 안보교육장, 평화공원, 조기역사관, 서정우 하사 모표 보존지, 평화전망대, 포7중대 등을 방문하는 당일 코스를 통해 생생한 안보 교육을 받을 수 있다.
특히, 이번 견학은 권역별 특색을 살린 테마를 통해 인천 각 지역의 가치와 매력을 더욱 효과적으로 알리는 데 주력했다.

북부권(부평·계양·서구)은 ‘무한 호기심 트랙’이라는 테마로, 부평안전체험관, 어린이과학관, 귤현차량기지를 연결한 어린이 체험학습 코스를 선보인다.
참가자들은 소개된 테마코스 외에도 견학권역 내에서 관심사에 따라 2~3개 견학지를 자유롭게 선택할 수 있어, 단체의 특성과 연령대에 맞춘 맞춤형 조합으로 의미 있는 시정 체험이 가능하다.
‘생생시정 현장견학’은 인천시정에 관심 있는 초등학교 4학년 이상 학생부터 일반 시민, 단체는 물론 타 시도 주민까지 20인 이상이면 누구나 무료로 참여할 수 있다.
견학에는 참가자 인솔과 현장 안내를 맡는 전문 서포터스가 동행해 알찬 현장 경험을 제공한다.
