충남 서천군이 2026년도 국도비 확보 목표액을 8890억 원으로 상향 조정하고, 전 부서가 참여하는 예산 총력전에 돌입했다.
이는 2025년 확보액 대비 약 2114억 원 증가한 수치로, 군은 이를 통해 장항선 복선전철화, 해양바이오 인프라 구축 등 지역의 중장기 성장 동력을 마련하겠다는 방침이다.
군은 지난 27일 김기웅 군수 주재로 ‘2026년도 국도비 확보 추진상황 보고회’를 열고 각 사업의 진척 상황과 대응 전략을 점검했다. 이날 보고회에는 전 부서장 30여 명이 참석해 부처별 예산안 반영 현황과 향후 대응방안을 공유했다.
올해 초부터 군은 국도비 확보 체계를 정비하고, 전 부서별 ‘국도비 확보 책임관제’를 도입했다. 각 부서는 사업별 책임자를 지정해 기획부터 중앙부처 설득까지 일관되게 추진하도록 했다.
김 군수는 1월 국도비 전략보고회를 시작으로 환경부, 해양수산부, 고용노동부 등 주요 부처 장·차관을 잇달아 만나 사업 필요성을 설명하며 협조를 요청했다. 지난 3월에는 장동혁 국회의원을 초청해 정책간담회를 열고 국비 반영 가능성을 높이기 위한 협의도 진행했다.
