(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 전국시도교육감협의회(회장 강은희 대구시교육감, 이하 협의회)가 지난 4일, 제21대 대통령의 취임을 축하하며 앞으로 지속 가능한 국가 발전과 교육의 미래를 위해 중앙과 지방이 함께 협력해 나가기를 기대한다고 밝혔다.
협의회는 “국민 모두의 기대 속에 대한민국의 미래를 위한 큰 걸음을 내딛게 된 것을 진심으로 축하드린다”며 새 정부가 기후위기, 디지털 전환, 학령인구 감소 등 복합적인 교육 과제에 대한 정책적 결단을 내려줄 것을 기대했다.
아울러 “중앙과 지방이 협력하는 고도화된 교육 거버넌스 체제로 전환해야 할 시점”이라며, 교육재정의 안정적 확보와 지역 맞춤형 정책 추진의 중요성을 강조했다.
특히, 협의회는 “아이 한 명, 한 명의 성장을 중심에 둔 교육을 통해 지속가능한 미래를 함께 설계해 나가자”고 밝혔다.
