충남 예산군이 지역 친환경 농산물의 학교급식 확대 방안을 모색하고 나섰다.
군은 지난 4일 군청 대회의실에서 예산교육지원청과 영양교사, 친환경공공급식출하회, 공급업체, 학부모단체인 건강먹거리 지킴이단 등 관계자들이 참석한 가운데 학교급식 관련 간담회를 개최했다고 5일 밝혔다.
이번 간담회는 공공급식지원센터의 운영 현황을 공유하고, 관내 학생들에게 보다 안전하고 질 좋은 식재료를 안정적으로 공급하기 위한 방안을 논의하기 위해 마련됐다.
특히 지역 친환경 식재료의 학교급식 활용 확대와 최근 농정 간담회에서 제기된 의견에 대한 구체적인 후속 조치를 중심으로 심도 있는 논의가 이뤄졌다.
공공급식지원센터는 현재 친환경공공급식출하회와 협력해 예산군 내 학교에 지역산 친환경 농산물을 공급하고 있다. 더불어 '학교급식 식품비 지원사업'의 일환으로 관내 94개교 8,524명의 학생을 대상으로 친환경 식재료 현물 지원과 예산 농산물에 대한 일정 비율의 차액 보전 지원도 진행 중이다.
