브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 진성준 더불어민주당 정책위의장은 6일 이재명 정부가 '경제 살리기' 정책의 일환으로 추가경정예산(추경) 편성을 추진하는 것과 관련 "20조~21조원 정도가 추가로 필요하다는 게 당의 기본 입장"이라고 밝혔다.
진성준 정책위의장은 이날 오전 MBC 라디오 '김종배의 시선집중' 인터뷰에서 "우리 경제 상황이 더 안 좋아지고 있다. 특히 민생 경제 소비 부진이 심각한 상황이다. 이 때문에 대통령의 의지와 또 정부의 재정 여력에 따라 (추경 규모는) 그보다 더 늘어날 수도 있다"며 이같이 밝혔다.
그는 "1차 추경 당시 소비 부진과 내수 부진을 타개할 민생 회복 분야의 지원 규모가 너무 작았다"면서 "정부가 추경안을 편성해 당과 상의도 할 것이고 국회에 제출할 텐데, 그 규모를 보면서 늘릴 수 있으면 늘려 이번 추경이 민생 경제 회복의 마중물이 될 수 있도록 해야 되겠다"고 강조했다.
이어 그는 "현재 내수와 소비 불황이 우리 경제의 발목을 가장 크게 붙잡고 있다"며 "이렇게 (추경) 하면 경제 성장률 1% 정도의 상승효과는 기대할 수 있다고 본다"고 주장했다.
추경에 포함될 전국민 25만원 민생회복지원금 지급안에 대해선 "보편적 지원으로 할 것이냐, 아니면 선별적 지원으로 할 것이냐는 고민될 필요가 있다고 생각한다"라며 "선별적으로 중하위층에 집중하도록 할 것인가 하는 문제는 정부의 재정 여력에 달려 있다"고 했다.
또한 추경 편성안에는 "자영업, 소상공인들의 부채 부담에 대한 적극적인 지원 대책도 필요하다"라며 "(코로나19 시기) 일반 금융을 내서 빚을 낸 자영업 소상공인들이 있을 텐데, 새출발기금이라든지 배드뱅크라든지 이런 것들을 통해 채무를 조정하는 방안들을 강구해야 된다"고 설명했다.
아울러 이재명 대통령의 주 4.5일 근무제 공약과 관련해선 "우선 기업이 자발적으로 시행하고 있는 곳이 있는데 이런 시범적 사업들이 확산될 수 있도록 인센티브를 제공하고 그 시행의 성과들을 봐가면서 사회적 합의를 모색해야 된다"며 "형편이 어려운 기업들에 대해서는 4.5일제 시행에 따른 지원, 이런 문제도 검토해야 된다"고 말했다..
