[브레이크뉴스=정철규 기자] 진주시는 9일 ‘2025 대한민국 정원산업박람회 in 진주’의 비전과 준비 상황을 공유하는 현장설명회를 개최했다.
이번 박람회는 ‘정원과 함께하는 삶: 생활 속 실용정원’을 주제로 도심 속에서 구현 가능한 정원 문화를 통해 실용성과 대중성을 동시에 강조했다.
박람회는 오는 13일부터 22일까지 10일간 초전공원 일대에서 열리며, 정원과 산업, 문화가 융합된 국내 최대 규모의 정원산업 전문 박람회다.
설명회는 박람회의 핵심 콘텐츠인 코리아가든쇼, 정원산업전, 시민 참여정원, 시민정원사 마을, 정원콘퍼런스 등이 소개됐다.
먼저 코리아가든쇼는 공모를 통해 선정된 6인의 정원 디자이너가 ‘한국의 멋’을 주제로 조성한 작가정원으로, 정원의 예술성과 창의성을 보여줬다.
시민 참여정원과 시민정원사 마을은 시민이 직접 설계하고 가꾸는 참여형 정원으로 생활 속 정원 실현과 공동체 문화 회복을 목표로 진행됐다.
또 정원산업전에서는 식물 소재부터 조경 자재, 스마트 정원 기술, 공간 디자인에 이르기까지 정원산업 전반을 아우르는 융합 전시가 설계됐다.
실내·외 전시 공간에는 식물소재관, 시설소재관, 특별 전시관 등이 운영되며, 기업·기관·협회가 참여해 최신 제품과 기술을 선보일 예정이다.
정원콘퍼런스는 국내외 전문가들이 참여해 정원의 가치와 미래 산업 방향을 논의하는 학술 행사로, 정원 담론에 깊이를 더할 것으로 기대된다.
국립수목원과 공동 주최하는 국제심포지엄과 ‘달밤 정원 토크콘서트’는 정원의 치유 기능과 문화적 가치를 시민과 함께 나누는 장이 될 것이다.
