브레이크뉴스 최애리 기자= 아시아나항공이 오는 11일부터 국내·국제선 이코노미석 승객을 대상으로 ‘Back to Front’ 방식의 ‘존 보딩’을 시행한다.
존 보딩은 항공기 내 구역을 세분화해 구역별 순서를 정하고 탑승하는 방식이다. 아시아나항공은 이코노미석을 3개의 존(ZONE)으로 나눠 후방열 좌석 승객부터 차례로 탑승을 안내한다.
존 번호는 탑승권 ZONE 1, ZONE 2, ZONE 3으로 탑승권에 인쇄돼 승객이 쉽게 자신의 탑승 순서를 확인할 수 있으며, 후방열 승객에게 빠른 번호가 부여된다.
단, 유아 동반 승객, 임산부, 노약자 등 도움이 필요한 분들은 존 번호와 관계 없이 이코노미 승객 순서보다 우선해 탑승할 수 있다.
이번 조치는 기존 이코노미석 승객들이 한꺼번에 탑승하던 것과 달리 존 별로 순서를 세분화한 방식으로, 기내 승객 간 접촉을 최소화해 혼잡을 방지하기 위함이다. 순서가 없을 경우 먼저 탑승한 승객이 휴대수하물을 선반 위에 올리는 과정으로 인해 보다 뒤쪽에 탑승하는 승객의 진입을 방해할 수 있다.
아시아나항공 관계자는 “후방열부터 먼저 탑승하면 승객의 휴대수하물 적재로 인한 기내 혼잡을 줄일 수 있을 뿐 아니라 탑승 시간을 단축해 정시성 개선 효과도 기대된다”며 “안전하고 쾌적한 탑승을 위해 손님들의 많은 관심과 협조를 부탁드린다”고 말했다.
