(브레이크뉴스인천 문광수 기자) 인천시립무용단의 ‘춤추는 도시 인천 2025’가 오는 6월 21일 오후 4시, 부평아트센터 해누리극장에서 폐막공연 ‘Iconic selection – 독보(獨步)’를 마지막으로 대단원의 막을 내린다.
‘독보(獨步)’라는 부제처럼 이번 무대는 한국 무용계를 대표하는 국공립무용단의 예술감독들이 한자리에 모여 선보이는 독보적인 홀춤으로 구성됐다.
각자의 예술세계와 한국춤의 정수를 펼쳐내며 전통춤의 깊은 뿌리에서부터 동시대 창작춤까지 한국춤의 스펙트럼을 한눈에 조망할 수 있는 특별한 무대로 마련됐다.
공연의 개막 무대는 인천시립무용단의 대표작 <Water Castle – 토끼탈출기> 중 ‘상좌다툼’ 장면으로 군무의 강렬한 에너지와 한국춤의 화려한 기술을 통해 관객을 몰입시키며 막을 연다.
공연은 국립남도국악원 무용단의 박기량 안무자의 <복개춤>으로 시작된다.
진도씻김굿 중 제석굿의 한 장면에서 유래한 이 춤은 주술적이고 제의적인 움직임 속에 삶의 안녕과 다복을 비는 기복무로서, 깊은 전통성과 상징을 내포하고 있다.
부산시립무용단의 이정윤 예술감독은 창작춤 <판>을 통해 무대 위에 삶의 현장과 춤의 속성이 교차하는 ‘판’을 펼쳐 보인다.

살풀이 수건 없이 맨손으로 추는 이 춤은 이별의 아픔을 오롯이 감싸안는 세월의 흐름을 담고 있으며, 단정하고 절제된 춤사위 속에 윤혜정만의 깊은 정서가 배어 있다.
이어지는 무대는 제주특별자치도립무용단 김혜림 예술감독의 <심심·나례(深心·儺禮)>이다.
고려와 조선시대 섣달그믐날에 행했던 구나의식 ‘나례’를 현대적으로 재해석한 이 작품은, 실체 없이 자신을 괴롭히는 불안과 공포를 인지하여 타파하는 것으로 새로운 벽사진경을 완성한다.
제의적 서사와 춤의 감각을 조화롭게 결합하여 동시대의 춤으로 창작했다.
한국 근대무용의 선구자 조택원의 1949년 뉴욕 초연작을 오늘날의 감각으로 되살린 <소고춤>은 국립국악원 무용단 김충한 예술감독이 무대에 올린다.
중고제 국악 명인 심상건의 반주음악에 맞춘 이 작품은 한영숙, 정재만 등으로 이어지는 춤의 계보 속에 위치하며, 김충한의 재해석을 통해 현대적 생명력을 더해 관객에게 선보일 예정이다.
마지막 무대는 인천시립무용단 윤성주 예술감독의 독무 <담청(淡靑)>이다.
