(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 인천 서구가 최근 행정체제 개편을 앞두고 서구의 변화 준비 과정과 검단구 출범과 관련된 사항을 주민들과 공유하고 다양한 의견을 수렴하기 위한 ‘서구·검단구 주민소통단’ 1차 정례회의를 개최했다고 밝혔다.
서구에 따르면, 서구·검단구 주민소통단은 지난 2월 추천 및 공개모집을 통해 선발된 주민 위원 48명으로 구성됐으며, 회의는 행정체제 개편에 따라 예상되는 서구의 변화와 검단구 출범에 대한 주민과의 소통을 강화하고 폭넓은 의견을 반영하기 위해 마련됐다.
이번 회의에서는 행정체제 개편 사항, 분야별 추진사항, 검단구 임시청사 건립 계획, 검단구 청사 건립을 위한 타당성 용역 등 분구 추진 과정 전반에 대한 내용을 공유하고, 주민소통단의 역할에 대해 설명하는 한편, 주민 위원들의 의견을 청취하는 시간을 가졌다.
회의에 참석한 주민소통단 위원들은 검단구 출범에 따른 지역 행정의 변화에 높은 관심을 보였으며, 실질적인 주민 불편 해소와 출범에 따른 재정적 우려 사항 등 다양한 의견을 제시했다.
강범석 서구청장은 “행정체제 개편은 지역의 미래를 좌우할 중요한 전환점인 만큼, 주민 여러분의 목소리에 더욱 귀 기울이겠다”며 “소통을 강화하고 주민들의 궁금증을 해소하는 데 최선을 다해, 서구의 변화와 검단구 출범이 지역발전으로 이어질 수 있도록 노력하겠다”고 말했다.
