(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 경인교육대학교 국제교류협력센터, 지리적상상력연구소(GIRI), 그레이트지오그래픽협회(GGS)가 공동 주관한 ‘경인교대 공공외교 축제’가 6월 6일, 세계 환경의 날 기념 특별행사를 끝으로 성황리에 마무리됐다.
이번 축제는 5월 20일부터 6월 6일까지 3주간, 164개국과 연결된 GGS 플랫폼을 기반으로 국제 교육 교류의 장을 펼쳤다.
축제는 1주차 경인교대 학생들의 국제교류 시연과 글로벌 토크, 2주차 해외 지역전문가 강연 및 외국 대사관과의 연계 세션으로 이어졌으며, 김완중 전 호주 대사와 온두라스·아제르바이잔·세르비아 대사관 파견 전문가들의 특별 강연이 큰 호응을 얻었다.
6월 2일부터 시작된 3주차 행사에서는 브라질 출신 방송인 카를로스의 아마존 특강과 함께 브라질에 대한 이해를 돕는 토크쇼가 진행됐으며, 성화수 외교관이 자신의 저서인 ‘내일은 마다가스카르’를 바탕으로 아프리카 파견 외교관으로써의 보람과 고충을 학생들과 나눴다.
