(브레이크뉴스인천 문광수 기자) 인천시와 인천문화재단이 오는 24일까지 2025년 ‘아트·T 인천’ 사업에 참여할 청년 미술작가를 공개 모집한다고 밝혔다.
시와 재단에 따르면, 이번 공모는 인천에 연고가 있는 청년 미술작가라면 누구나 지원할 수 있다.
선정된 작가에게는 카페, 서점 등 일상 생활공간에서의 전시 기회와 소정의 작가비(Artist fee), 작품 프로모션도 지원된다.
‘아트·T 인천’은 카페, 서점 등 일상생활 공간에서 자연스럽게 예술을 접할 수 있도록 예술 향유공간의 범위를 확장하는 미술 프로젝트다.
단순한 작품 전시를 넘어서 아티스트 토크·아트페어·아트투어 등 다양한 프로그램과 연계하여 시민에게는 예술과 일상이 자연스럽게 만나는 경험을, 청년 작가에게는 예술 활동의 지속을 위한 성장을 지원한다.
지난 2024년에는 인천 전역에서 60명의 청년 작가가 240여 점의 작품을 전시했다.
인천문화재단은 올해에도 청년 예술인의 자립과 예술 생태계 선순환 가능성을 위하여 지속적으로 지원을 이어갈 예정이다.
인천문화재단 관계자는 “누구나 일상에서 미술작품을 편안하게 관람하고, 작가와 직접 만나 대화하는 경험을 통해 예술 감상은 물론 소장의 즐거움까지 느낄 수 있기를 바란다”며, “인천이 앞으로도 문화와 예술이 일상이 되는 도시로 거듭날 수 있도록 적극적으로 노력하겠다”고 밝혔다.
공모를 통해 선정된 작가의 전시는 오는 8월부터 인천 곳곳의 카페, 서점, 미술 공간 등에서 진행될 예정이다.
