세종시교육청은 12일에 청사 4층 대회의실에서 ‘제54회 전국소년체육대회’ 시상식을 개최했다.
이날 시상식에는 메달을 획득한 선수들을 비롯한 운동부 지도자와 지도교사들이 참석하여 그동안 갈고닦은 기량으로 이룬 성과를 함께 축하하고 서로를 격려하는 뜻깊은 시간을 가졌다.
이 자리에서 최교진 교육감은 ‘제54회 전국소년체육대회’에서 메달을 획득한 학생에게는 장학 증서를, 지도자에게는 포상금을 수여하였으며, 지도교사와 소속 학교에는 교육감 표창과 포상금을 전달했다.
앞서 세종시 학생선수단은 지난 5월 24일부터 5월 27일까지 경상남도 김해시에서 열린 ‘제54회 전국소년체육대회’에 총 314명이 참가해 금메달 3개, 은메달 7개, 동메달 9개 등 총 19개의 메달을 획득, 역대 최고의 성과를 달성했다.
최교진 교육감은 “세종교육청을 대표해 최선을 다해준 모든 학생 선수들과 학생들이 열심히 훈련할 수 있도록 지원하고 지도해주신 지도 교사와 운동부지도자 모든 분들께 진심으로 감사하다.”며,“앞으로도 체육을 통해서 꿈을 실현하고자 하는 모든 학생선수들을 응원하고 세종시 체육의 밝은 미래와 힘찬 도약을 위해 아낌없는 지원을 하겠다.”고 했다.
