충남 공주소방서(서장 송희경)는 지난 12일, 세종시 다정하나어린이집 원생 28명과 보육교사들이 ‘소방안전체험교실’에 참여해 유아 대상 맞춤형 안전 교육을 받았다고 13일 밝혔다.
이번 체험은 6세에서 7세 유아반 어린이들을 대상으로 구성됐으며, 단순한 이론 교육을 넘어 실제 장비를 보고 만지며 몸으로 익히는 프로그램으로 진행됐다. 어린이들은 이날 '소방관의 업무 소개와 시·청각 활용 안전교육', '험지펌프차 등 소방차량 장비 소개 및 시연 관람', '화재 발생 시 인지 및 대피 요령', '완강기 사용법 체험', '지진과 화재 상황을 가정한 대피 훈련', '화재진압 방법' 등을 경험했다.
소방서는 지난해 5월부터 이 체험 프로그램을 상시 운영 중이며, 시민들의 재난 대응 역량을 키우고 소방에 대한 거리감을 줄이는 데 초점을 맞추고 있다. 체험 참여를 원하는 기관이나 단체는 공주소방서 안전문화팀(☎ 041-851-0244)으로 사전 일정을 협의한 뒤, 공주소방서 누리집에서 신청서를 내려받아 제출하면 된다.
