(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 인천시교육청이 16일부터 교육청 누리집에 게시된 첨부문서를 음성으로 들을 수 있는‘첨부문서 음성지원’ 서비스를 시행한다고 밝혔다.
인천시교육청에 따르면, 이번 서비스는 별도 프로그램 설치 없이 교육청 웹사이트에 게시된 한글(HWP), PDF, MS오피스 등 다양한 형식의 첨부문서를 PC와 모바일에서 음성으로 지원하며, 고시, 공지사항, 보도자료 등 대부분의 자료가 해당된다.
특히 이번 서비스는 고령자나 시각장애인처럼 문자 정보 접근이 어려운 사용자들이 인천 교육 관련 소식을 더욱 쉽게 접할 수 있도록 설계됐다.
게시글의 첨부문서 옆에 표시된 ‘바로듣기’ 아이콘을 클릭하면 시스템이 문서의 글자를 음성으로 변환해 낭독하는 방식이다.
또, 전맹인의 경우 기존에 사용 중인 기기의 TTS(텍스트 음성 변환) 기능과 연동해 서비스를 이용할 수 있으며, 음성 속도 조절 기능도 제공해 사용자 편의를 높였다.
저시력 고령자도 스마트폰의 별도 기능 없이 누리집에서 바로 음성 지원을 받을 수 있다.
인천시교육청 관계자는 “고령자, 장애인 등 정보 소외 계층의 불편을 최소화하고자 이번 서비스를 마련했다”며 “앞으로도 홈페이지를 지속적으로 개선해 누구나 차별 없이 교육 정보를 이용할 수 있도록 지원하겠다”고 밝혔다.
