브레이크뉴스 최애리 기자= 인천국제공항공사는 오는 7월 29일부터 에어부산을 인천공항 제2여객터미널로 이전 배치한다고 17일 밝혔다.
현재 인천공항 제2여객터미널(T2)에는 대한항공, 진에어, 델타항공, 에어프랑스, KLM네덜란드항공 등 9개 항공사가 운항 중이며, 7월 29일부터는 에어부산이 추가돼 총 10개 항공사가 운항하게 된다.
제1여객터미널(T1)에서는 아시아나항공, 외국 항공사 및 저비용항공사가 운항한다.
이는 지난해 12월 인천공항 4단계 그랜드 오픈으로 제2여객터미널의 연간 여객수용용량(국제선 기준)이 대폭 확대(2300만명→5200만명)된 만큼, 항공사 재배치를 통해 양 터미널(T1, T2) 간 여객수송 분담률을 합리적으로 조정하기 위한 조치다.
공사는 하계 성수기에 맞춰 에어부산이 제2여객터미널로 이전함에 따라 공항 운영 효율성이 높아지고 혼잡완화 등 여객편의가 제고될 것으로 기대하고 있다.
공사는 이번 에어부산 이전에 이어 올해 9월 신규취항 예정인 스칸디나비아항공을 제2여객터미널로 배정하는 한편, 기존에 제1여객터미널에서 운항 중인 일부 항공사도 연내 제2여객터미널로 추가 배치할 예정이다.
에어부산 이전에 따른 여객 오도착을 사전에 예방하기 위해 공사는 에어부산과 협력해 예약 고객 대상 안내 문자 메시지 발송, E-티켓 내 안내문구 삽입 등 사전안내를 강화할 예정이다.
또한, 홈페이지 및 SNS, 여객터미널 내 게시판, 디지털 매체, 안내방송 등 온·오프라인 홍보수단을 적극 활용해 에어부산의 제2여객터미널 이전 내용을 알리고 출국장에는 안내 인력을 배치해 여객 혼선을 최소화 할 계획이다.
인천국제공항공사 이학재 사장은 “7월 29일부터 에어부산이 제2여객터미널에서 운항하게 되는 만큼 인천공항 이용시 터미널별 항공사 정보를 한 번 더 확인해주시기를 당부드린다”며 “항공사 이전에 따른 여객 불편이 없도록 이전 작업 및 사전안내에 만전을 기할 계획이다”고 말했다.
