(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 남동구가 17일, 행정업무용으로 사용하던 노후 PC를 정보 취약 계층의 디지털 환경 개선에 활용한다고 밝혔다.
남동구에 따르면, 구는 최근 한국IT복지진흥원과 ‘IT 자원 순환 및 디지털 복지 지원 협약’을 맺었다.
협약을 통해 남동구는 행정업무용 노후 PC 교체 과정에서 발생한 불용 전산장비 약 250대(2025년 기준)를 한국IT복지진흥원에 무상양여한다.
또, 재정비과정을 통해 남동구 내 복지시설 등 정보 취약 시설에 본체, 모니터, 필수 소프트웨어가 설치된 PC 세트를 보급할 예정이다.
이번 협약은 더 이상 사용하지 않는 공공 자산을 무조건 폐기하는 대신, 재활용 가능한 자원으로 인식하고 사회에 환원하는 모범적인 사례로 평가된다.
특히, 정보 취약 계층의 디지털 환경을 개선하고 자원 낭비를 막는 지속 가능한 모델을 제시하며, 지역사회에 긍정적인 파급효과를 가져올 것으로 기대된다.
