전북자치도 전주시가 대한민국 거점형 스마트도시로 조성된다.
전주시는 국토교통부가 주관한 '2025년 거점형 스마트시티 조성' 공모사업에 최종 선정됐다고 19일 밝혔다.
이번 공모 선정으로 향후 3년간 국비 160억 원ㆍ지방비 160억 원ㆍ민간 투자 4억 원 등 총 324억 원을 투입, 스마트도시 조성 사업을 추진하게 된다.
'스마트도시 조성' 사업은 인공지능(AI) 등 스마트 기술을 도시에 접목, 다양한 도시 문제 해결과 스마트도시 산업 활성화를 지원하는 사업이다.
'거점형'은 스마트도시가 전국에 확산될 수 있도록 거점 기능을 할 수 있는 스마트 서비스 종합 도시를 조성하는 국토부의 핵심 정책 사업으로 전주시가 전국에서 유일하게 선정됐다.
