한국부동산원이 ‘정리의 끝이 누군가에겐 새로운 시작’이 되길 바라는 마음으로 따뜻한 나눔에 나섰다.
한국부동산원(원장 손태락)은 6월 18일, 대구 본사에서 임직원이 직접 참여하는 ‘REB 물품 기증 캠페인’을 개최했다고 밝혔다. 이번 캠페인은 단순한 기부를 넘어 자원 재순환과 장애인 일자리 창출이라는 사회적 가치를 함께 실현하는 ESG(환경·사회·투명경영) 실천의 일환이다.
이번 행사는 ‘우리의 정리가 누군가에겐 시작이 됩니다’라는 부제로 진행됐으며, 사용하지 않지만 판매 가능한 생활용품을 기증하는 방식으로 이뤄졌다. 임직원 197명이 참여해 약 1,430점의 의류, 도서, 전자제품 등 다양한 물품이 기증되었다.
기증 캠페인과 함께 사내 바자회도 열려, 사전에 수집된 물품을 직원들이 직접 구매할 수 있도록 했다. 행사 수익은 장애인 작가의 예술 작품 전시에 사용되며, 사회적 나눔의 가치를 더욱 확산시켰다.
기증된 물품은 사회복지법인 밀알복지재단이 운영하는 ‘굿윌스토어’로 전달된다. 굿윌스토어는 기증 물품을 재가공해 판매하고, 이 과정에서 장애인을 비롯한 취약계층에게 일자리를 제공하는 사회적기업이다. 매장 운영과 판매활동 전반에 장애인 직원이 직접 참여해 경제적 자립을 도모하고 있다.
한국부동산원 손태락 원장은 “이번 캠페인은 단순한 기증을 넘어, 우리가 쓰지 않는 물건이 누군가에게는 새로운 출발점이 될 수 있다는 점에서 큰 의미가 있다”며 “앞으로도 ESG 경영은 물론, 지역사회와 함께하는 상생 활동을 꾸준히 이어가겠다”고 밝혔다.

The Korea Real Estate Board (REB) has embarked on a heartwarming sharing initiative, hoping that "the end of one's tidying becomes a new beginning for someone else."
The Korea Real Estate Board (President Son Tae-rak) announced that it held the 'REB Item Donation Campaign' with direct employee participation at its Daegu headquarters on June 18th. This campaign is part of the organization's ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) practices, going beyond simple donations to realize social values such as resource recycling and job creation for people with disabilities.
The event was held under the subtitle "Our tidying becomes a new beginning for someone" and involved donating usable household items that were no longer needed. A total of 197 employees participated, donating approximately 1,430 items, including clothing, books, and electronics.
Alongside the donation campaign, an internal bazaar was also held, allowing employees to purchase items collected in advance. The proceeds from the event will be used to fund art exhibitions by artists with disabilities, further spreading the value of social sharing.
The donated items will be delivered to 'Goodwill Store,' operated by the social welfare foundation Miral Welfare Foundation. Goodwill Store is a social enterprise that reprocesses and sells donated items, providing jobs to vulnerable groups, including people with disabilities, in the process. Employees with disabilities directly participate in all aspects of store operations and sales activities, promoting their economic independence.
Son Tae-rak, President of the Korea Real Estate Board, stated, "This campaign is more than just a donation; it holds great significance in that items we no longer use can become a new starting point for someone else. We will continue our ESG management and consistent win-win activities with the local community."
