충남 서천군은 20일 서천군농업기술센터에서 노인맞춤돌봄서비스에 참여 중인 전담사회복지사 및 생활지원사 155명을 대상으로 ‘2025년 노인맞춤돌봄서비스 종사자 역량강화 교육’을 진행했다.
이번 교육은 돌봄 서비스의 질을 높이고, 현장 실무자의 전문성과 감수성을 향상하기 위한 취지로 마련됐다. 강의는 ‘노인맞춤돌봄 현장의 소리’, ‘성인지 감수성의 이해’, ‘노인의 특성과 학대 예방’ 등 실무 현장에서 직접 활용 가능한 내용을 중심으로 구성됐다.
이날 교육에 참석한 김기웅 서천군수는 “맞춤형 돌봄서비스 덕분에 어르신들의 일상이 보다 안정되고 풍요로워졌으며, 이는 곧 서천군 전체의 행복지수를 끌어올리는 동력이 되고 있다”며 “이번 교육을 통해 군의 복지 수준이 한 단계 더 도약하길 기대한다”고 말했다.
서천군은 현재 노인맞춤돌봄서비스를 통해 일상생활 유지가 어려운 고령자를 대상으로 생활지원사가 가정을 직접 방문해 맞춤형 서비스를 제공하고 있다. 이 사업은 서천군노인복지관과 서천노인복지센터가 수행기관으로 참여하며 지역 사회의 복지 인프라를 탄탄히 구축하고 있다.
특히, 군은 일반 돌봄서비스 외에도 지역 특성을 반영한 ‘병원 동행서비스’를 자체 운영하며 거동이 불편한 독거노인의 의료 접근성을 높이는 데도 앞장서고 있다. 이 특화사업은 단순한 돌봄을 넘어 지역 노인의 삶의 질 전반을 향상시키는 복지 모델로 주목받고 있다.
