(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 인천시가 25일, 한국산업단지공단이 주관한 ‘2025년 산업단지환경조성사업(3차)’ 공모에서 주안·부평국가산업단지가 ‘노후공장 청년친화 리뉴얼 사업’ 대상지로 최종 선정됐다고 밝혔다.
인천시에 따르면, 이번 사업은 산업단지 내 영세.중소기업 공장의 내·외부 환경을 개선하고, 청년층이 선호할 수 있는 근로환경을 조성함으로써 청년 근로자의 산업단지 유입을 유도하기 위해 추진된다.
인천시는 공모에 앞서 주안·부평국가산업단지 내 참여기업을 공개 모집했으며, 자체 선정평가위원회를 구성해 심사를 거친 끝에 최종 10개 기업을 사업 대상으로 확정했다.
선정된 기업에는 외관 정비, 녹지 조성, 복지시설 개선, 근로환경 개선 등 네 개 분야에 걸쳐 리뉴얼 공사비가 지원된다.
이번 사업에는 국비 4억 원을 포함해 총 7억 원의 사업비가 투입되며, 인천시는 오는 2026년 6월까지 모든 사업을 완료할 계획이다.
인천시는 지난해 남동국가산업단지가 같은 사업에 선정된 데 이어, 올해 주안.부평국가산단까지 연속 선정되면서 노후 산업단지의 청년친화 공간 조성에 한층 속도를 낼 수 있게 됐다.
이번 리뉴얼 사업을 통해 근로환경 개선은 물론, 산업단지 전반의 이미지 제고와 청년층 유입 확대 등 다양한 효과가 기대된다.
